~ He really dislikes Rize, even after the incident, he openly talks trash about her. He always calls her ' Stupid Little Girl'

~ Even around Kaneki, he is wary about what he says. This is because Akashi is very wary about the disadvantage of his Koukaku type Kagune against Rinkaku type Kagune.

~ His first experience eating human lungs was terrible, because the person was a smoker and Akashi tasted all the terrible stuff in their lungs.

~ He threw a party for himself after Rize's incident.

~ He can sense the kind of Kagune but not who particularly uses the Kagune. He's always uptight when he senses Rinkaku because of Rize

~ Akashi has a lot of portfolios of different birds, scenery, people, and posted them online.

~ Akashi has many photo albums that have pictures of his brothers modeling for his portfolios, but were never used after their murder.

~ Akashi has temporarily worked for Photography companies and has quite a good resumé, despite not being very sociable. His portfolios impressed the companies well enough to accept him.

~ Akashi usually finds Kaneki or Tsukiyama as his models for 'human' photography, Tsukiyama gets ecstatic while Kaneki humbly accepts or declines when he wants to.

~ In Akashi's room, he has a shelf that is exclusively dedicated to his photo albums and portfolios.

~ Akashi's adoptive brother, Tatsu Ueda, shared a romantic relationship with him, but it didn't last very long. Right now, they still are close-knit and very protective of each other. Tsuta finds it alarming that both of them are still close, seeing as their relationship was very tumultuous.

~ Akashi lived in America for two years with Tsuta, he is well-versed in English like his younger adoptive sister.

~ Akashi actually took Cosmetology and Fashion Merchandising in college, and special classes for those subjects in High School, so Akashi is pretty much a stylist while photography is his hobby.

History: 

            Akashi is the second of three children to a family of ghouls living in the Itabashi Ward [ 19th Ward ]. Akashi was never a sociable child and would easily get tried after playing around too much and actually disliked doing too much work with others. The only other people he was truly comfortable around is the Ueda family and quickly became attached to the couple's son, Tatsu, and even took care of him as a toddler. When he was 9, his parents were murdered by Junji Watari, a then Special Class Investigator. It just so happened that his parents were the wrong target and they didn't need to die. While still in shock, his older brother Akinori took him and Makoto to the Uedas, begging them to let the boys in. The Uedas found out what happened to Akashi's parents, and out of pity took the boys in and even supported them financially after their parent's death. Akashi opted to do part time work in high school to help his foster family, and his brothers did the same thing. Akashi was recruited into a modeling agency out of nowhere, but he guessed it was totally fine to do it for his foster parents. It was through this little modeling job that Akashi got interested into photography, and saved up for an SLR. He enjoyed this hobby with his brothers and his foster family, and became happier, to say the least. He managed to graduate high school and get into an arts college, where he took up Fashion Merchandising and a major in Cosmetology. He paid half the tuition as to not give his foster parents a heart attack with how expensive it was. In his second year of college, he has a summer outing with his brothers, and on the way home, came across a group of S Rank ghouls who were being chased down by Associate Special Class Investigator Yoko Watari. Yoko, suspecting that the Hirase brothers were accomplices, proceeded to attack either. Akinori told Akashi to take Makoto and run, and held off Yoko, who killed him in a short matter of time. With her other Quinque, crippled Makoto, but Akashi was able to escape and managed to mortally wound Yoko when she was open. Akashi ran home in a tearful panic, and this caused the Ueda family to move to the 20th Ward, where Tsuta would be taking up college in Kamii University. Akashi, though in a depression, managed to finish college and work as a full-time photographer with companies he has contracts with. It was because he caused the death of Yoko Watari, he was immediately shot up to a A Rank Ghoul for managing to kill an Associate Special Class. A year prior to the main events, he put Senior Investigator Yuji Watari ( who was out to avenge his sister and was assigned to investigate the Ghoul "Spider" ) , into a comatose. His A rank upped to S Rank. Now, Akashi is wary of any investigator with the name Watari, and is keeping his status low knowing that the next Watari is after him.
In :re, Akashi is still currently doing photography, and using his skills in eavesdropping and listening intently to gossip about Kaneki's whereabouts. He's come across Haise Sasaki numerous times, and currently is trying to infiltrate into the CCG to find clues about Kaneki's whereabouts. Akashi has not a care if he is caught and will be killed, all he wanted to know is if Kaneki is still alive or not, because Haise is way too similar to his 'former friend'.

Personality: 

            Though Akashi comes off as a grade A asshole, when he does his work, he does it efficiently and carefully. He makes up for his dislike in socializing much by doing good in his work. He's very picky of whom to associate with, and quietly judges those he doesn't. He badmouths a lot of people and other various things, and doesn't shut up until someone punches him in the face. Although he dislikes socializing, he doesn't wish bad for anyone, but he wants to avoid tiring himself from socializing a lot because he easily burns out talking to more than three people or even a small group. It's because he's so easily burned out, he 'stress eats' and even eats more than he should. He softens up to others after a period of time, and treats them considerably better. But to people he is close to, he treats them as family, and is a lot more relaxed, kind and patient with them. Of course, he isn't above doing acts of gratitude. He also has a bit of an aesthetic taste, as he'd go out of his way just to take nice pictures and feel good about his tiny achievements.
